Wallbox and Ensol Energy Solutions are expanding their partnership to provide fast chargers for electric vehicles in Texas, Florida and Georgia, according to a June 12 press release.
Ensol EV — the energy management company’s EV subsidiary — already partners with Wallbox for all of its EV charging infrastructure needs. Wallbox designs and sells compact EV charging solutions, such as its Level 2 “Pulsar” EV chargers that Ensol EV provides to both homeowners and businesses.
The new stage of the partnership will bring Wallbox’s public “Supernova” DC fast chargers to Ensol EV customers. The Supernova public charger delivers as much as 180 kW of power in a smaller-than-average package that connects to both CCS1 and NACS charge ports and takes payment by credit card. According to Wallbox’s website, routine maintenance of the Supernova charger is minimal, as both software updates and necessary diagnostics are automatically delivered.
Ensol EV will pair the chargers with other energy management solutions, the release said, including solar generation and battery storage.
“Wallbox’s Supernova chargers are a perfect fit for our projects, allowing us to integrate renewable energy and smart technologies seamlessly,” Ensol EV CEO Ernesto Figueroa said.
According to the announcement, the initial phase of the project will focus on large cities and regional transit corridors in Texas, Florida and Georgia, where demand for EV charging is growing.
“States like Texas, Florida and Georgia are seeing accelerating demand for charging infrastructure, and we’re proud to support that shift with reliable, certified fast charging solutions,” said Douglas Alfaro, chief business development officer at Wallbox.
Installations as part of the partnership will begin in the second half of 2025 and continue through early 2026, per the release.
The partnership is part of Ensol EV’s plan for its own fast charging network, Greenera, which will install 500 Wallbox Supernova fast chargers over the next few years. The company’s goal is to deploy 100 Supernova chargers in the network’s first year.
