Veteran Stellantis executive Mike Koval and head of global Jeep sales operations, has departed the automaker, a company spokesperson said in an email to Automotive Dive.
Koval’s last day with Stellantis was Friday, The Detroit News reported. Richard Cox, VP, North America, commercial performance and revenue governance, will take over Koval’s duties, the spokesperson said.
No reason was provided why Koval left the company.
Koval’s departure continues a series of executive shakeups at Stellantis as it taps new leaders to revive the financially struggling company. This includes naming Antonio Filosa as its new CEO in May, who has a proven track record of success at the automaker.
Koval joined Stellantis in 2002 and held a variety of leadership roles during that time, according to his company bio.
In June 2023, Koval was named head of Mopar North America. He previously was head Ram Brand North America, a post he was appointed to in June 2020. Ram is now led by Tim Kuniskis, who oversees Stellantis’ American brands as well as North American marketing and retail strategy.
