Toyota Motor North America promoted Dawn Pittman Collins to group VP, chief compliance and ethics officer, effective June 2, per a company statement.

Pittman Collins succeeds Jacqueline Thomas, who is retiring July 18. Pittman Collins has been with TMNA since April 2020, per her LinkedIn profile.
According to TMNA, Pittman Collins will provide strategic direction and leadership over internal audits, compliance and ethics, regulatory compliance and customs/trade compliance. Additionally, she will advise TMNA’s audit committee and risk committee.
TMNA said Pittman Collins’ promotion is designed to “drive continued growth, advance its commitment to vehicle electrification and prepare for the future of mobility.” She will report to TMNA President and CEO Ted Ogawa.
As assistant general counsel, Pittman Collins “managed multiple teams and resolved numerous litigation claims, mitigating risk and protecting the Toyota and Lexus brands,” per the announcement. She also advised on various other projects, including those related to safety, mobility and partnership/joint venture, as well as new businesses.
Thomas, who joined Toyota as a financial projects manager in January 1999, served as TMNA’s chief compliance officer since August 2015, according to her LinkedIn profile.
